Intermediate – Level Two
Aqua Environmental recognises the need for the water industry to provide high quality training services in order to attract and maintain professional personnel. Training courses are completed by our current managers and site supervisors; who have huge industry experience in site leak detection activities.
The Intermediate Level Two Leak Detection Training Course aims to provide an intermediate knowledge of leak detection principles and activities to Leak Detection Trainees who have completed Basic Level One or those who have completed significant leakage field work (may be assessed prior to commencement).
The Intermediate Level Two course is completed over two days and includes theoretical and practical sessions in the following:
Theory
- Quality management of leakage activities.
- Correlation principles and operation.
- Water loss management activities.
- Advancements in technology.
- Results and KPI indicators.
- Equipment scenarios.
- Unusual circumstances encountered.
- Methodology customisation.
- Extraneous noise generation.
- Boundary/Zone Valve faults.
- Crew supervision.
- Site safety.
Practical
- Leak correlation use.
- Pipe locating.
- Ground microphone use.
- Equipment circumstance decision making.
- Advanced fault finding.
- Leak marking.
- Leak reporting (with Site Reporting System).
- Boundary/Zone Valve assessment and reporting.
Candidates are required to successfully complete theoretical and practical competency tests on water leakage to obtain Intermediate Level Two. We recommend candidates progress to Advanced Level Three approximately six months after successfully completing Level Two.
