Advanced – Level Three

Aqua Environmental recognises the need for the water industry to provide high quality training services in order to attract and maintain professional personnel. Training courses are taught by our current managers and site supervisors; who have huge industry experience in site leak detection activities.

The Advanced Level Three Leak Detection Training Course aims to provide an advanced knowledge of leak detection principles and activities to experienced Leakage Technicians. It is anticipated these candidates have displayed a passion for water loss and are either Site or Crew Supervisors who are involved in the management of daily leakage activities. Intermediate Level Two is a prerequisite for this course.

The Advanced Level Three is completed in one day and includes theoretical and practical sessions in the following:

Theory

  • Current Active Leakage Detection Programs.
  • Leakage industry updates and recent news.
  • Client liaison management.
  • Crew management.
  • Workload management.
  • Efficiency management.
  • Equipment and technology updates.
  • Interpretation of leakage results.
  • Training and up-skilling techniques.
  • Client reporting requirements.
  • Client value for money discussions.
  • Quality management requirements.
  • Environmental management requirements.
  • OH&S management requirements.

Practical

  • Advanced leak correlation methods (including filter alterations and PVC correlation).
  • Hydrophone correlation techniques and scenarios.
  • Re-active leakage detection (adaption of methodology).
  • Comparison of equipment in identical situations.
  • Real on-site leak detection activities.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Calculation of leakage results.

Candidates are required to successfully complete theoretical and practical competency tests on water leakage to obtain Advanced Level Three.
