Training
Aqua Environmental employees have consistently provided the most outstanding results in the industry. This is something we are extremely proud of and can attribute to the extensive employee training initiatives we have in place.
We have internally designed three distinct leak detection training courses to ensure a pathway for Leak Detection Trainees to become highly skilled and knowledgeable about water loss. All training courses are completed in a SCORM accredited Learning Management System.
Each training course goes over leak detection activities in a local environment to ensure trainees are familiar with their specific location and cover both theoretical and practical aspects of leakage. Level Three also covers aspects of Site Supervision, Client Liaison and Project Management with regards to active leak detection contracts.
As an independent leak detection contractor we have the unique ability to offer an environment where each trainee gets hands on experience with various equipment brands and models. This will allow technicians to make more informed choices about what equipment they feel will work best in particular circumstances.
Field and theory competency tests are completed prior to successfully passing each training course.
Prerequisites:
- Good communication levels, English skills, Mathematics skills and a basic understanding of hydraulics and water distribution (previous experience in a similar industry is an advantage).
- Trainees must have a period of six months between each course to allow for a large number of “real” situations to be experienced.
- Trainees must be passionate about water loss and reducing leakage in reticulation networks.
Contact us today for details on training initiatives we can put in place at your water utility organisation.
Currently training is not available to other leak detection service providers in Australia or New Zealand.
